[Fred only wants to shout - he doesn't bloody need anything - and be angry and chase off every git that's asking after him at the moment because what in the Hell do they know? It's so much easier to be angry, to ignore those horrid little tugs at every corner of his unbeating heart. It's easier.
But when has anything been easy or kind or fair? Why is it that after all his shouting and throwing things and snarking at the entirety of the City populace, he's still more hurt than anything else? He ought to toss some crude remark at her and be done with it, but he can't and that's difficult bit through it all.
